Last year I was honoured to be the moderator at the National Information Security Conference (NISC), the UK’s largest independent cyber security conference, in Glasgow.
I’ll be honest with you – the great line-up of speakers, fascinating talks, and real sense of community made it probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a security conference.
NISC attracts leading CISOs, CTOs, IT security/network managers, compliance/risk managers and IT directors – making it a great opportunity to like-minded professionals to share experiences with their peers. Best of all, there’s no hard sell. :)
So I’m delighted to announce that I will be chairing NISC again from 6-8 November, at a new venue – Carden Park, in Cheshire – to celebrate NISC’s 20th anniversary.
Speakers include Cath Goulding (Nominet UK), Kevin Fielder (Just Eat), Gareth Bateman (Hiscox), Kathryn Cardose (Ernst & Young), social engineering expert Lisa Forte, and TV’s Maggie Philbin (of Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Tomorrow’s World fame!)

Here is some blurb about the conference:
The key to an effective defence strategy is to build a solid framework and strengthen your existing security practices. By providing you with an immaculate conference full of relevant and useful information we work hard to make your time out the office worthwhile. Designed for information security professionals, by information security professionals, NISC is a conference for cyber security individuals to learn about the latest cyber security trends, risks and defence strategies in a relaxed but productive environment.
