Vote nowHi faithful reader,

I’m delighted to announce that grahamcluley.com has been nominated for the title of “Best security blog” in the upcoming Bytes that Rock Awards.

It’s a great privilege to be able to provide independent advice and commentary on computer security issues every day. I don’t need to be nominated for awards in order to get pleasure out of what I do each day, but… by heck, it’s nice to be recognised. :)

If you have a spare moment then please check out the many nominees for best security blog over on the voting website, as there are some truly great sites listed there.

The winner will be announced on December 10th after users’ votes are combined with the opinions of a judging panel. Good luck to everyone taking part!

Many thanks.

Normal service will now be resumed…

      Cheers Alan.

I shared a few words about you earlier this week on the Tripwire blog (see http://www.tripwire.com/state-of-security/off-topic/security-mentors-honoring-those-who-fuel-our-love-of-infosec/ ) so I'm only too aware of my debt to you.

Is there an award for the best geo-caching blog? You would surely be up there.

I do admittedly have NoScript active by default but even after globally allowing scripts (temporarily as this error came up even with temporarily allowing all of this page, reloading, same thing until all seemed OK) I get:

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined variable: captcha
    Filename: models/programas_model.php
    Line Number: 280

Which seems odd as I didn't see any captcha (which is why I bring up scripts). Maybe it's because I'm dead tired or maybe it's because I'm blind or perhaps it's both. But if there is a captcha, where exactly should I be looking ?

Do you mean on my site or on the voting site?

I've been a silent lurker for almost 3 years now, day in day out following the rss feedback, and your blog quality has always been top notch. Would be a well deserved award! And if not, keep it going! Voted :)

Thanks Matthias! Of course, it's not just me. There have also been some terrific articles written by guest contributors – I'm very lucky to have had so many people help produce great content.
