Cybercriminals left hanging as Victoria’s Secret bounces back

Lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret says that it has restored all of its critical systems and is fully operational again, three weeks after revealing it had been hit by a cyber attack.

The good news? Victoria’s Secret believes its err.. bottom line hasn’t been affected by the hack:

“We continue to assess the full scope and impact of the incident. This incident has not caused a material disruption to our operations to date and we do not believe it will have a material impact to our fiscal year 2025,” it said in an SEC filing.

In a 3 June press release Victoria’s Secret had explained it was postponing releasing its Q1 financial results, because employee were unable to access required computer systems while it continued to recover from the attack.

The company has not revealed the nature of the cyber attack, nor how its network had been caught with its pants down.
