The trailer for the Wikileaks movie has been released on the internet, and it features no less a star than acclaimed British actor Benedict Cumberbatch as the website’s controversial founder and editor-in-chief.

Well done Benedict.

You’ve played Khan in the new “Star Trek” movie, and you’ve made a brave attempt at Assange’s unusual Aussie twang. Now, please get back to the BBC and finish filming the next series of “Sherlock”.

“The Fifth Estate” is due for release in US cinemas in October. There’s no word on when Assange is due to release himself from the charming hospitality of London’s Ecuadorian embassy.

Wheres Edward Snowden?  In a Russian transit lounge, probably...Of course, Benedict Cumberbatch’s portrayal of Julian Assange in a Hollywood movie underlines how big a story privacy has become in the last few years with the general public.

Films based around internet phenomenons like Facebook and Steve Jobs have sought audiences in the last few years, which makes me wonder – who is next to get a movie makeover?

There’s one obvious candidate right now, as the world’s media obssesses about the travel plans of fugitive US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden, currently hanging out in Moscow airport.

Surely there’s never been a better person to play Where’s Wally?
